Doesn't look like all the pirates we saw earlier were displayed... (most notably the Jack Sparrow looking one...)

Also, one can't help but notice a distinct lack of Monster Mez-itz series 3....

As well as the Blues Brothers Mez-itz....

Are these still gonna be released?

It appears as though Mezco is being rather secretive about a few of the lines they have displayed at ToyFair this year. Not allowing photos, and only giving a rare glimpse here and there (if at all) only serves to whet the appetite of their toy hungry fans. Although, I can't wait to FINALLY see the "goods", I gotta admit the anticipation is sorta fun too. :rolleyes:

possible.... but we already saw the Blues Brothers at the last toyfair, Monster Mez-itz have always been at US toyfair, and we saw pics of the rest of the pirates....

Not to mention that the best Mezco lines have been getting cancelled left and right lately....

the Monster Mez-itz castle (which Mez PROMISED would be released), Dark Carnival 2 (which was pretty much what MADE series 1 worth it...), Jack the Ripper Mez-it, and i think tikimon 2 is pretty much cancelled as well....

there's prolly more that i'm not remembering....

Noooooooooooo....the castle has been cancelled. Wow, I didn't even realize that they had canned those lines. Honestly, aside from the Mez-Itz castle-I don't think the other stuff will be that sorely missed. I know there are some fans of the Tikimon line out there, but I doubt that they "caught on" quite like they had anticipated. As far as Dark Carnival 2, they should have made the 2nd series the 1st series-then cancelled, because the 1st series was nothing special. Anytime you can get an entire case of figures for 9.99 (Tower close-out price), something stinks in toon town. IMHO, LDD and HB are pretty much their "bread & butter", but it would be nice to see some exciting new additions. So far, the coolest Mezco ToyFair pics I have seen where of the new Mez-Itz concept art. Until we finally get a look at the Goon and HB lines, I will be patiently waiting with my check book in hand. :D

I agree, DC2 was better than DC1... Series 2 had more of a carnival feel... maybe if they had mixed the lineups a bit... And Tikimon would have done much better if they hadn't modernized them. The Evil Knievel stuff and the stone palm pilot ruined the feel of the whole series... But when you open them up and throw that stuff away, they are pretty cool.

Might as well add Hellboy and Goon to that list, for all we've seen of them. There's something very strange going on with those licenses. I've made a few inquiries to people connected to the licenses (but not from Mezco, since they don't appear to have much interest in playing straight with the people who buy their products and support their company).

I gotta wonder how Mezco's doing, as a company. Too bad about Dark Carnival 2.

I'd just like to restate my admiration and respect for companies like SOTA and Palisades, who maintain a great relationship with both fans and the media and would never, for instance, disallow photography of their most anticipated lines without at least an explanation.

I'm bummed about the castle, sure, but there's not much they can do if the retailer interest isn't there... Tikimon and Dark Carnival just didn't sell well... that doesn't mean that Mezco didn't try. It sucks, but i can't really blame them for that...
