I agree. The Hellboy fans have been very patient. We intend to reimburse Mezco handsomely for these products--I'll probably order my first full set of action figures ever. We deserve more than "various different reasons we won't get into."

At the very least could those pics be released to non-Club members now?

The only pictures we (club members) have been shown are sculpt pics of Lobster Johnson. You can see two pictures better than what we (club members)have been shown for free in the boiler room. To join the club for life it is $40. I'm still waiting to be impressed with my membership. If anything club members should get a look at lines before the general public.

Jeff, in regards to the pics that are available to the club members....The line is going to rock without a doubt, but the pics aren't anything more than a bit of a tease. Which can be good, I guess....but, if you were under the impression that the clubmez members are privy to the look of the final product-we aren't. I can tell you that the prototypes/first shots do look good, but the pictures are far from a great representation of what we can expect when these beauties hit the pegs. However, since you probably haven't seen them-I can totally understand the desire to do so. Hopefully something can be worked out, so at least the non-members could view a pic, or two. Honestly, as a member, I would have no problem with it. It's not as though the members haven't had ample time to check 'em out.:)

If my tactics of whining and making unreasonable demands doesn't work I will be forced to resort to plan B. That's right plan B or as I like to call it ... well actually I just call it plan B cause I never came up with another name for it. But it is a most devious plot that will consist of two phases.

Phase 1: Making Broad Accusations. for example:

"My various sources (C.I.A., F.B.I., A.A.A., & a rock in my backyard that looks like the Pope) have confirmed that indeed Marv has collaborated with Osama Bin Laden, Martha Stewart (who is actually a robot, I can and will prove it), Ben Affleck (c'mon his acting alone is an evil deed), & Rasputin's ghost to prevent us from ever seeing or owning the Hellboy figures. In addition they are pawns of the Ogdru-Jahad and should not be trusted."

Phase 2: Scream Really Loud. for example:

I still think Mezco did themselves a huge disservice by not using Toy Fair to promote the lines to the public. There may be a good reason for it, but aside from either licensing issues or problems with the product (e.g., Mezco didn't really like how the figures turned out, and are feverishly retooling them), I can't imagine what the reason could be.

Anyway, whatever. I'm tired of this issue. Someone email me when they put up the pics--like around the SDCC, maybe.

1) These lines do not need to promote themselves to the public. They are two of the most highly anticipated lines this year.

It's funny, for a couple months there we got regular updates on both Hellboy and the Goon lines, at least for Club members...but since the Lobster Johnson preview, nothing. Not a word, other than "pictures are not far away," which is slightly more specific than "eventually you'll see pictures."

The degree to which they seem be ignoring us (where is Marv?) gives me some faint hope that they're planning to reveal everything sometime in the next couple of weeks and letting us suffer in the meantime. But that's definitely a faint hope... ;)
