Well I don't have a pic saved anywhere but I know you can go to www.livingdeadolls.com (http://www.livingdeadolls.com) . Click on dolls and the category to select is exclusives. He is the very last one on the bottom row (5th one left to right). He is a great doll. Have him personally.

Thanks for the directions. As cool as the JTR doll looks, I was even more impressed with 'Bad Habit'. Who doesn't like a nun gone bad?

Rotocast version kicks the LDD's ass. It has a freakin' "uterus!" (AKA a kidney)

The Living Dead Doll version takes the cake I'm afraid.....the other is pretty damn cool, but the LDD Jack The Ripper is an awesome doll...I guess this is where people must agree to disagree! :p

Word. I'm agreeing to our agreement to disagree. You'd think it'd be hard to say that ten times fast, but it's actually pretty easy.

Sorry about that dark_angel. It was actually an "inside" joke/reference. On another board Jor and I visit someone is called Dark Angel and he, uh, has a tendency to "kill" people in threads when he gets bored, annoyed, is trying to be cute, etc.

You are a perfectly good, in a "bad" way :D , dark_angel! ;)

Absolutely no problem agreeing to disagree. But that LDD Jack does need to lose the hat. Like I said, it makes him look like a demented pilgrim! :p He would look much better without it. JMO. :)

At first, I absolutely hated the rotocast Jack The Ripper figure. I thought that it was no where near the quality of design/product that Mezco usually puts out. (Basically, I disliked the head sculpt) Now, I only mildly dislike him-I mean he does come with a uterus (err, kidney). ;)

Sly Snape

I know the stylized figures Mezco makes initially put some people off, but I think there's a level of appreciation you just can't get unless you actually hold it in your hands, not just look at a picture online. Personally, I knew I was going to like Jack, but now that I actually have him I freakin love him! :)

Bring on the Warriors! :D

I was looking online for information as to why Living Dead Dollies were pulled from Hot Topic's shelves, but I instead found this interesting news article:

Family of missing woman wants serial killer doll [Mezco's Jack the Ripper] removed

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2004/12/30/802518-cp.html

Why isn't anyone complaining about the Jack the Ripper by McFarlane Toys?

What an imposter! :)

I dig the figure. The top hat is not my favorite. I don't mind the stylized aspect. It works well at times. However, when you hear that a company has acquired a license and then states that it's movie accurate. You don't really want a characature if it's suppose to be movie accurate.

From one of the articles:

"When other people see that doll, they won't be thinking what I'm thinking," said de Vries, author of an award-winning book about the disappearance of her sister.

1. EXACTLY! Not everyone thinks like you lady, and it's not for you to impose your values/views on society at large just because it's a touchy issue for you.

2. Doesn't it seem just a tad hypocritical for her to be complaining about a doll/figure being made of an unknown historical figure who killed people over 115 years ago.... when she herself is pimping her own sister's disappearance (and possible murder?) in a book?!?!

3. How 'bout focusing your energy on something that actually matters if you really care about the plight/situation of those "working girls": like doing something to help them get off the streets/drugs so they're not in as vunerable a position to begin with! http://anthonyheald.com/smileys/finger.gif

Amen! I have a mind to find her book on Amazon and put that in a review of her book.

I don't think anyone here was really taking it that seriously. Just voicing opinions in passing on censorship and imposed values (in general) as exemplified by this specific situation. ;)
