View Full Version : Clockwork Orange-make it so !!!

The action figure world NEEDS Clockwork Orange figures in the worst way. Mezco could hit this one out of the park. A line of Clockwork Orange figures would be awesome. "Stylized", "realistic"...whatever-we (I) NEED these badly. Alex and his Droogs-what a devilishly fun display one could make with these little beauties. Perhaps each fig could come packed out with a portion of the Karova Milk Bar as a base. At least, a few of those disturbingly erotic
"drink dispensers". I, along with countless thousands am a big fan of Kubrick's films. Yet, none of these screen gems have made the transition to plastic. Along with NightBreed & Conan The Barbarian (the movie) figures-Clockwork Orange is at the top of my cream dream wish list. Oh please, for little Johnny in the hospital-make it so.

I just got through reading the Dave Cortes interview, and he said (I am paraphrasing) making a line of Clockwork Orange figures would be at the top of his "dream" list of projects. Sweet. I also love sculpting, and one day maybe I will be able to start up something really special with other inspired/talented artists. Hint, hint...I live in the midwest-so if any of you guys are interested in doing something with our "talents"-please send me a message. Seriously. Until then-I won't be holding my breathe for the Clockwork Orange figs, but I will be eagerly anticipating the "sure to be" future press release. Right, right.

Stanley Kurbrick's estate wouldn't allow it to happen.

This is the closest that you'll ever get to owning a figure from A Clockwork Orange: http://board.mezco.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I kinda doubt that. First of all, I would not pay for some sub-par knock-off piece of "fan" made crap. Secondly, as I am sure you must know-real Kubrick set pieces/props don't end up on eBay with a asking price of only 500 bucks. Finally, I could just make/customize my own Clockwork figures. I just think that Mezco could really make a kick ass offering. Anyways, in the realms of possibility-the chance of somebody's toy company securing the rights to do Clockwork figs doesn't seem that far fetched. I know it seems like I am "going off" here, but I'm not. I am just really adimate about this topic. :D

Prince Henry Stout, everyone wants Alex DeLarge figures just like everyone wants Regan figures from The Exorcist and Pennywise figures from It. McFarlane Toys has unsuccessfully tried to obtain all of those licenses in the past.

I did a Google search, and now I'm not sure who owns the rights to the A Clockwork Orange film.

I agree that the Korova Milkbar prop is most likely a fake.

Do you already have Mezco's Fashion Victims Sybil?

eggZistenZ (http://board.mezco.net/member.php?u=45) , thank you for the info. You are exactly right-"everyone" wants those figures you named. Lets hope maybe a few of them will be done sometime in the not so distant future. I do not have any of the fashion victims-yet, that is. Although, at first I sorta dismissed them-I must say that the one you showed has peaked my interest. Again, thank you for your insight.:) Happy collecting !!!

I think that you can get Living Dead Dolls Fashion Victims Sybil on sale for $19.99 at Spencer's. They also sell them at Suncoast Video, but I don't think that they are on sale there yet. She comes with two different costumes, and she will be in kind of a straight jacket inspired outfit when you buy her. http://board.mezco.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I think Mezco's stylized treatment would work particularly well for Clockwork Orange figures. I'd buy 'em. :) http://board.mezco.net/images/icons/icon14.gif
