I hope they are not stylised and cartoony like.It might work if they make a McFarlane-3D poster style deal of Isaac's paintings, but I really want a realistic figure of Sylar.

I am down with whatever style they make them in really, but would prefer them the new 9" bodied like The Warriors.

From a Heroes site:

"Mezco Toyz will be responsible for developing toys and specialty product including collectible action figures, dioramas, and deluxe figures in a variety of scale sizes ranging from 3" to 18". Mezco's Heroes product will hit retail in early 2008."

Anyone else pick up the DVD set yesterday?

I did, though due to work, I haven't been able to watch any of it...though I am REALLY excited for these figures!

I hope we get quite a few series out of it. AND 6-7 INCH SCALE PLEASE!!

I want a Nathan Petrelli with a flight stand
Peter Petrelli with translucent orange hands and chest from the season finale.
Sylar...however...he's just a badass all around.
Hiro in Samurai gear.
Claire in cheerleader outfit with ribs sticking out.

Hell..just give me everyone....

Blanka, you aren't alone in your excitement, I am really looking forward to them as well, though I am more excited for The Warriors and CoF 7'ers.

With Heroes I just don't really have any preferences, other than what characters they make. I am also not sure if I will be a completest with this line or not, it just depends on how they look, price, and again character selection.

Characters I would definitely buy no matter what...
Hiro
Clair
Peter
Ando
The Haitian
Kaito
Charlie

Characters I would most likely buy...
Nathan
Parkman
Sylar
Mohinder
Ted
Linderman
Mr. Bennet
Isaac

Characters I would only buy if I decide to be a completest...
Niki
Micah
D.L.
Claude
Simone
Audrey

I'm hoping for reasonably realistic looking nicely articulated 7" figures.

Definitely have to be poseable in some way, though. The whole non-articulated thing is probably why the Lost figures didn't go over better.

And it's a shame Mezco didn't get the Battlestar Galactica license. Series 2 has already been announced and DST seems to be choosing a lot of second banana characters over the main ones for some reason.

DEFINATELY in 7 inch scale. To scale with Cinema of Fear, and Hellboy, and Attack of the Living Dead....for sure!

And I would like all of them to have their powers featured somehow with bases. As I said...Peter with orange transluscent hands, Claire with torn cheerleader outfit, Nathan with flight stand, half-clear Claude, Issac with whited out pupils and canvas with some of Tim Sale's art on it, Sylar in his jailcell, etc.

This line is going to kick ass if it's the way I envision it to be!!

Hell, as long as I hear 7 inch scale....I'll be a-okay!

I think a 12 inch line would be awesome for the Heroes line. It would mean the figures are bigger, better looking, more poseable and overall better! I'm really excited about these figures as i love Heroes, especially Clare! She's my favourite! They should have Clare in her cheerleading outfit andf then a variant where she is burnt or has ribs sticking out or something!

I'm gonna have to agree about the hope of a realistic line of figures. That's the main thing that turned me off from THE GOONIES figures was how they were too cartoonish and not realistic enough. Just my two cents.

Oh, well....since they're reading.....

Hellboy movie line scale? Perfect fit. Just follow that exact same format, and you're golden. 9 inch clothed style, ala the new Warriors? BAD fit.

Series 1
Peter Petrelli with translucent orange hands and chest
Sylar in any shape or form
Nathan Petrelli with flight base
Nikki with a Jessica head variant, and maybe Micah
HRG with gun, and teddy bear for Claire

Series 2
Claire with ribs sticking out, and bloody, torn cheerleader outfit
Claude, half clear half visible
Hiro with sword and concrentrating head variant
Matt Parkman in police uniform
Issac Mendez with different paintings, and blanked out eyes

Series 3
Ted Sprague with orange glowing like skin
The Haitian
DL with some kind of base showing off his half phasing through something
Mohinder Suresh with map and "the list"
First appearance Sylar with hat and all mysterious like

Though sadly, I think this line will only go to series 2....hopefully Mez will stay dedicated to it, and we'll make it to a series 3 or 4.

Wow!
Slow down, dont get ahead of yourself.
Lets just hope we get a Series 1 and Series 2 first.

Remember, Mezco arent well known for making Series 2 of their lines:
The Goon, The Warriors, Miami Vice, Cryptozoology...

As long as there is a Hiro with "bending time" face (preferably in series 1 since there likely won't be a 2) I'll be happier then a pig in slop. I'm also hoping for a seven inch line.

Here's an interesting Q&A:

http://www.toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=169&itemid=11912

A lot of "you'll have to wait & see" and "can't talk about it at this time" answers, but there's still some good info to be learned...

*the 7" line will be realistic looking, not stylized
*each figure will have at least 8 points of articulation
*apparently they'll "deliver" when it comes to the accessories
*they're also doing 3 3/4" screen grab dioramas, like the Horror line.

I see. Well, Im sure everyones seen my thread about the possiblity of doing the 'future' heroes for the realistic 7" scale line. Can we assume that the characters will be done in modern day look or is that still being worked out? IMO the future versions would make better figures given their cooler designs. (take Hiro for instance)

(BTW Jor you can delete that thread).

I think the trenchcoat gives some cool points to the modern look...

This is the best news all year!!! I have been hoping someone would pick this up. "Heroes" is an excellent show and upon hearing this news I have cleared off a shelf for whatever they are planning to make. I am so glad they are going with the realistic looks. HERES hoping for at least enough figures to flesh out the main cast. If they plan to make the main cast in sizes other than 7 inch, I would buy 12 inch instead. More detail, more figure, more space.

I cant just believe being the fan of "Heroes" that I am, I just found out about this....
