I really like the Elm Street one with Freddy coming out of the wall. Might have to pick up the TCM one too.

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
I'm buying everything from the COF line, Mezco are making Friday and Nightmare products that i've dreamed of for years.
Honestly, none of the other companies that have had the licenses have had the confidence to make some of these awesome figures...... a Nancy in the bath....... Jason and Tommy in Crystal lake....
Awesome.
2008, the year of Mezco

Thanks for posting the pics.
Everything looks great, but my favorites are the plushes, particularly 'Tuxedo Freddy.' Now Mezco needs to do plushes of ' New Nightmare Freddy' and 'Uber Jason' Oh, and 'Super Freddy' for Mr. Yac, too

I personally hate the vs. movie but a Springwood Slasher figure would be cool. I'd prefer a younger looking Robert from Freddy's Dead though.

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
Years ago, there was a TV show called Freddy's Nightmares. They did an episode called "No More Mr Nice Guy" which was actual story of how Freddy got burned. It was the first time people saw how Freddy died. The show was aired years before they showed how he died in the movies. That's what I'd like to see. Just a non crispy Freddy with his glove and a baby doll.

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
Yeah, that would be really good.
I used to love the show, i still watch it on tape alot. Both seasons aired in the U.K about 5 years ago so i was able to tape the episodes i didn't have
I actually remember watching the series when it first aired on sky one (11pm Friday night... those were the days) and loving the first episode " No More Mr Nice Guy ", i loved the unique opening and how evil Freddy was in it.
I'd love a human Freddy like the episode, that would be awesome

I've never been a big slasher flick fan, but I think these guys look awesome. I'll probably be picking up at least both Leatherface's(seeing as TCM is one of the few slasher flicks that I'm a fan of).

Actually unless you want a Springwood Slasher plush, I think the 7" figure that was released is good enough and I'd rather see something new.

Between Neca and McFarlane, there were a crap load of Freddy's made and I believe only 1 was him before he got burned. That was a SDCC exclusive for Neca. Mezco did an awesome job on these figures, but rather than having a ton of new burned Freddy's, personally I do want something new and different. A non burned one. They can make a plush of it too though.

Only problem with that is, according to Freddy's mom, he was the bastard son of 1000 maniacs. That's a lot of figures.

I couldn't agree more...
I like the first series, they are cool, but after seeing Series 2, it kind of makes me less ecstatic for the first ones...

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
Could a Sally pushing Franklin in the wheelchair with Leatherface diorama be on the way? Heck, I'll take figures of them, the cook, the hitchiker, Stretch, Lefty and don't forget TCM 3! BTW any news on the scale of the diorama's? I hope that they are the same as the figures!

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
After watching the Dream Master yesterday i thought of a great scene Mezco could made for Series III........
Freddy coming through Joey's bed. I think it makes for a great figure set..... they could even put an LED light at the bottom so the water glows

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
I dont post a hell of alot anymore, but back a few years ago I posed something on both the Spawn boards and the mezco boards talking about how much I think the whole new line horror fan base would love these "Scene" type things... it would totally bring a fresh take onto the standard standing pose we have all loved but have already had done to death.
Now I seriously doubt my post had anything to do with the actual insperation needed but I did reccomend the bathrub & bed scene from elm street, along with the johnny depp scene witht he blood spewing up. The other reccomendation I made was for Friday the 13th when Jason comes from the lake... I think i might have made a few others too but it was so long ago... anyway my point is, even if my old ass post was never herd then it is nice to know that there is a company out there willing to take a chance and give the people what they want. From a simple marketing standpoint the freddy, jasons, leatherfaces, michael myers have always sold well. Ontop of that fact NOBODY can milk a licence like a dozen different variants like mezco can, and this fan boy will have every single one of them.
The opportunity is now there to create these fan requested variations and scenes that we have always asked for. The only people to ever really supply us with every version of freddy or every version of jason was sideshow... now actual action figures are being produced. My only issue is I sort of hope the articulation doesnt compermise the look of the figures. Because all in all the bulk of us collectors will have these babies on display either MIB or out. For me personally I dont really need the ability to pose a dozen different way, just give me a killer pose out of the box. Also id would love to see the Scenes from the cartoon looking series one done in the scale and detail found in the scene series two shown at SDCC. Although id buy either way, id pay much more for some good detail vs. cartoon small scale figures. Oh also, KILLER Score on Heroes!!! But please focus on the detail, nothing cartoonie or miami vice looking. make us praise mezco on its detail just like McFarline has been praised on his work for Lost and 24. Show us what you got!
one other thing, please dont forget us 18" fanboys and thanks for takeing the time to listen to your fans, or at least read our minds. lol

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
A few more ideas to throw out there, seing how everyone including myself is completly stoaked with what mezco is doing with the license
How about
ANOES
Tina being draged accross the roof in the bedroom
or Tina in the bodybag hand streatched out as a figure
The Johnny Depp Death scene where the blood is all over the roof
From Part 2 the only thing that really comes to mind is when freddy cuts open buddy from the inside and comes out
Pt 3 we have a realistic worm scene as an option.
The needle finger scene
The Prime time Bitch scene
A life size freddy puppet as a plush
Pt 4 Not a hell of alot comes to mind here either, Dr. Freddy is about it
pt 5.. Totally the dream child in the carrage... maby freddy with the carrage.
Amanda Kruger? or would that be too far out there
Super Freddy as everyone has mentiond
How about the death scene on the motorcycle
Freddy at the table serving the model her own stomach
Freddys dead
Old school, un burnt freddy
Mabie working in his shop with all the gloves
New Nightmare
How about freddy kutting his way and peeking out though the sheets of the bed
Friday the 13th
A Realistic boat scene with jason jumping out of the water
A Decapatating ms. voorhees scene
Pt2
Jason jumping though the window without the sack on his head after the girl
Pt 3
When he gets his mask, mabie with the bow and arrow shooting at the chick in the water for his first hockey mask kill.
Or ax in the head with arms streatched out
Pt 4
Totally a Young Tommy (considering you got the likeness of corey from gooneys) vs jason...
Pt 5... no really jason so just a reg fig will do
Pt 6 you already done an awsome job with pt 6
my laptop battery is about to die ill have to see if i can finish some more later.

first i love this line.as well as it being the first mezco products i have ever bought.does anyone know if series 2 will have 4 figures like series 1 and if so any idea who it will be?and also these would be perfect if they lose some of the articulation in the knees and hands as this makes them look a little more like a childs toy and less like a collectable.but the sculpts are great.and the jason figures are overly welcome to my collection.

I do hope these sell great, and we get a future series with the Hitchhiker from the original TCM.
I will definitely be picking up the Leatherface, Chop Top and Jason figures.
They all looked amazing in person at WWC, even the stylized ones that I wasn't too into at first.

i think nancy in the bath is the 4th figure......i don't know if you recall when these figures were first unveiled, but they had 4 silhouettes displayed together, freddy, jason and leatherface from series 2, and what looked like a diorama....plus with there only being 3 sets in the first series of screen grabs, and there's already a further 3 screen grabs already in series 2.....

Re: SDCC Cinema of Fear (Pic Heavy)
so are you saying that nancy in the bath is the 4th figure in series 1 ?
So when is the first wave out ? I have 2 Screen Grabs on pre-order but the shop doesn't know when they are coming in.
I have only seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) so far so can someone please tell me who the characters being made are and from which movie , thanks ....

Leatherface obviously, the other guy is Chop-Top Leatherfaces brother from Nam, the zombie accesory is just that a zombie, not quite sure but i think they alluded to it being the hitchhiker from the 1st movie at some point in part 2

So it's not a 'screen grab' but part of the figures line for series 2 ?

Holy Guacamole - I'd sell my sole to the devil and quite gladly for these items. The figures are unbelievably realistic and the plushies in the last two pics are so creepy like something out of Puppet master. I want them all NOW.
